Week 3 Blog Post- Typography on Maps


This was an interesting map/print that shows the various motto's of each of the 50 states. Each of the states have a slightly different font to differentiate from one another, but at the same time being legible and creative.

Week 3: Interesting Projections

This is an interesting map reflecting how maps and projections can be different to achieve different political goals.  This map of Europe turns the usual N/S orientation to an E/W orientation.  By doing so, it greatly increases the size of Russia (The Soviet Union back then) and makes it seem as if Western Europe is next on the Soviet's war plans.
